The Researcher's Almanac — Department licensing

Most research support tools are built for individual productivity. The Almanac is built for the long work of a department. When you license it for your faculty, you are not buying software — you are subscribing to a research intelligence service edited by people who understand what your researchers do.

What department licensing includes

Shared intelligence. The weekly Dispatch covers your institution's disciplines. The Correspondent learns across your faculty's collective activity — which funders they apply to, which journals they publish in, which deadlines cluster in your department's calendar.

Deadline coordination. The Ledger aggregates every tracked deadline across your licensed users. Your research office sees, at a glance, which grants are due this month, which postdocs need reminders, and which faculty are on track.

No data lock-in. Everything your researchers save is exportable at any time. We do not hold your department's intellectual trail hostage. If you leave, you take your data with you.

No upsell to your researchers. The free tier is genuinely free. Your junior colleagues can browse the entire index without hitting a paywall. When they upgrade, it is because they want the Ledger, not because we took something away.

How licensing works

We price by department size, not by user. A department of twenty-five researchers pays one annual fee. There are no per-seat calculations, no usage tiers, no surprises. You pay for the publication. Your researchers use it.

Implementation takes one day. We add your SSO, provision your accounts, and your faculty can begin using the Almanac the same afternoon. There is no training required — the interface is a magazine, not a dashboard.
